BNSF 789 Powell 12 Sep 08 - a photo on Flickriver

            BNSF 789 brings a grain train east on the Devils Lake Sub as it slows to a stop near Powell, ND.

The paint on this BNSFbonnet looked surprisingly decent and non-faded at the time.  The crew was rolling to a stop to wait for their relief crew up ahead at D.L Switch to show up.  In the meantime, the crew got out to manually lift the crossing guard at 16th Street to let traffic go by.

Also, after the head end rolled by me, a rouge Labrador Retriever ran under a grain car to come check me out.  Fortunately, the friendly guy got back across the tracks okay before the train started moving again!
