ARR 3009 Bird Creek 26 Jul 12 - a photo on Flickriver

            The daily Glacier Discovery works north over Bird Creek and past some fisherman doing their thing.

The only reason I got this shot was because of a bicycle race out near Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.  I was over there to shoot some 747 and MD-11 departures, but a bicycle race pretty much forced me to leave.  Glad it did!

I do want to get this angle again but next time with the tide in.  You can see the tide is out on the Turnagain Arm which leaves the right side of the shot not quite living up to its potential.  Next time though...summer can't get here soon enough!
