Archiv 2002: Doppelzug mit Zwischenloks in Frankfurt Main

            Ungewöhnliche Doppelzug-Garnituren gehörten vor 21 Jahren zum Bild zwischen Frankfurt Main und Gießen. Eine Lok der Baureihe 111 schiebt am 5. Novemer 2002 RE 79320 nach Treysa gekoppelt mit dem hinteren Zugteil mit einer Lok der Baureihe 110 und drei weiteren Wagen als RE 15372 nach Siegen. Bis Gießen liefen beide Garnituren vereinigt. Im Hintergrund der Frankfurter Messeturm und die damals neue Messehalle  3.

Unusual double train sets were part of the scene between Frankfurt Main and Giessen 21 years ago. On November 5, 2002, a class 111 locomotive pushed RE 79320 to Treysa coupled with the rear part of the train with a class 110 locomotive and three other cars as RE 15372 to Siegen. Both sets ran together until Gießen. In the background the Frankfurt Messeturm and the then new exhibition hall 3.
