No water (in Gorey harbour) - a photo on Flickriver

            Shot from the highest tower of Mont Orgueil Castle in Gorey, Jersey. After a walk around the Southwest corner of the island and having Jersey Cream Tea in Gorey we visited the castle. For hundreds of years Mont Orgueil castle was the first line of defense against a French invasion, France is only about 15 miles away from Gorey and you can see the coast line from here. With the invention of cannons the castle got vulnerable to shelling from the next hill and construction of Elizabeth Castle in St. Helier began.
