Swallet on Blackburn Fork, Jackson County, Tennessee

This was only a branch of the whole stream which sank here. This sinking steam occurs in the freshly exposed Leipers and Catheys Formation.

Also of interest in the photo is the large cut bank behind the hydrogeology class, as well as the huge boulders. In the stream deposits along the cut bank there we clasts no larger than a fist.

Furthermore, Dr. Hart is such an incredible teacher, he got to appear twice in this photo.
