高雄另一個美麗的角落
「光之穹頂」從設計規劃到完工，皆由國際知名藝術家水仙大師親手繪製及與享譽歐洲一百五十年Derix工作坊合作製作，歷時四年半，直徑達30公尺面積為660平方公尺，設置在全球最大的圓型地下車站建築內，穹頂依創作主題共分成四大區塊(quadrant)，共有16個小區塊(section)，1,252扇窗(window)，每面窗有2-9片「窗面」(panel)，每面窗面有3-100片玻璃鑲嵌而成，建構為捷運站內穿堂上的圓型穹頂，挾風火雷霆之氣勢，是全球少見的公共藝術作品；在製作過程中，水仙大師也數度親自到高雄實地觀察本土的人文風景，構圖運用天體、人物、大自然、高雄土地上的特有生物等，細緻程度可說每一塊玻璃都是一小段故事，彼此更互相交織連接，訴說著「人的故事」，演繹出人生於世的各種情感面象。
