Orange Blossom Special - a photo on Flickriver

            Irish Rail General Motors class 071 in its stunning retro orange livery, 073 along with 071 share special liveries & for the past few days, both have been allocated to the Tara Mines - Dublin port twice daily runs.

Orange engines & beautiful sunshine, yes, its my Orange Blossom Special.

Seen here alongside Church Road in East Wall, ahead the Irish Rail compound at North Wall with its full load of zinc from Tara Mines in Navan, the first arrival just before 11 am having departed Tara around 9 am.

The first wagon  is a former Kilmastulla shale wagon 31027 with its reinforced sides unlike the rest of the bogies, used to operate on the Birdhill to Limerick cement works & then modified for the Tara operations.
