Dawn of the Sun Raven - a photo on Flickriver

            I felt a dramatic pose required a dramatic title!

When you're around crows every day like I am and then you come across some ravens, it is very striking that the ravens are twice as large.  Their thick bills are most impressive and their deep croaks are completely different from crows.  They show little fear of me or Blanca and when they choose to visit a while, I am completely enchanted by them.

This was during a morning walk on the beach and I had just enough time to dive into the sand and get this shot against the sun.
