Currituck Beach Lighthouse - a photo on Flickriver

            Historic Currituck Beach Lighthouse in Corolla, North Carolina.  The Currituck Beach Light remained unpainted using the natural red brick color to distinguish it from other lights along the mid Atlantic seaboard.

The lighthouse is a 162' conical brick tower with a 158' focal plane.  Automated in 1939.

Posted to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 (NRHP Structure No. 73001333).
