THANK GOD FOR CELL PHONES! - a photo on Flickriver

            It disgusts me to think there was a time when I had to use pay phones. It grossed me out back then too. When you think of all the disgusting personal habits that people have, their questionable hygiene practices and the disgusting things they do... and they were all using the same pay phones as you... just YUCK!

And remember the fully enclosed payphones? That was like sealing yourself in a bacteria and filth filled glass coffin. Getting out of the rain was hardly worth sheltering yourself in one of those. Thankfully, I now use ATM vestibules for that if necessary.

Yes, cell phones give us great directions, phone access anytime/anywhere, internet access, useful apps, etc. But if the only advantage to having a cell phone was no longer having to use pay phones, I would be JUST AS GRATEFUL!
