Eclipse.... Eastern Oregon - a photo on Flickriver

            I think this is called the "Diamond Ring" effect. The other stuff in this corona shot might be Bailey's Beads. I'm certainly not going to bluff as an expert. he he. But that was one of the coolest minutes of my life!
So, we took a little adventure. We were told to expect hell on wheels and so forth. But we left Saturday morning and cruised direct, but smaller two lane roads to the tri-cities. Then I82/84 a short distance to Oregon 207 south to Umatilla Nat'l Forest to Bull Prairie. BP was a cite Torre found on Google earth. A true fricken gem of a small lake with an USFS campground with 30ish sites. We got one of three left Saturday afternoon. Easy peasy.  We had a prime viewing spot on the lake.
