A Forest in the Desert - a photo on Flickriver

            An amazing sight near the border of Arizona and Mexico, a field truck loaded with irrigation pipes ready for the next agricultural project.  Water here would be pulled from the Colorado River through these pipes.  The spigots poke upright to spray water over the rows of crops. In some areas there is a line of irrigation piping between each row and in other fields the long lines separate several rows of food grown in the desert.  Amazing to think how man can transform the desert to an agricultural oasis.
