God NEEDS Air Conditioning...
In Romania historical monuments like these churches are disfigured by the introduction of unsightly air-conditioning devices which is monstrous... 
For over 1000 years the Romanian orthodox churches had hardly any heating or no heating at all, and certainly no air conditioning in the 20th century and so far nobody died either of frost or cold while attending the orthodox mass.
the Ministry of Culture sits idle doing nothing to stop tyhe introduction of air conditioning which destroys the masonry, the frescos and in the long run wuill have adverse effect on the iconostatsis, icons, furniture as well as being a firte hazard and an insightly thing.
In the meantime the Orthodox priests seem to have so little understanding of the cultural treasures they are entrusted with  that they are busy installing modern double glazing (with plastic frames, of course) as well as these ugly metal boxes which look like disused truck engines.... shame really, but this is expecting too much of the custodians of our identity!
STOP THE OUTRAGE!
