(Blue hour) Bridge over canal + Museum + Christmas decorations (Djurgårdsbron & Nordiska Museet)

            Hi guys : )

My skills and camera aren't the best for night-shots,  but I really wanted to share some of the blue-hour holiday 
images with you that I captured recently : )

I'm using a compact pocketable camera and feel that I could do much better with more advanced equipment (and more 
 practice of course),  but this capture still makes me  glad that I went out and gave it a shot.

This is a bridge over a canal, along with a museum standing in the background,  and holiday decorations.

Things I like about this image include the Christmas decorations & lights reflecting off the water.
I also like that the water itself is partially frozen and the floating chunks of ice give it more atmosphere.

I just happened to catch a red bus crossing the bridge at the same moment,  so the image received a long touch of 
red on the left side as well.

I'm also glad that the lights were still turned on inside some of the museum tower windows,  giving it a warm glow.

Also happy with the multiple toned blue sky... it was changing by the minute and you can see that by looking at the differences 
 in the left & right areas of the sky!

There are many things I would like to have improved... I had to crop this image to remove unwanted bits so the full resolution isn't there. 
 I of course wish the details were better.

I tried many settings with my camera but haven't had better luck yet.

I have a Flickr pal named Kennet who is a master at these 
blue-hour photos and he has given me some great 
suggestions (many thanks!).   I will try using them in my future captures.

I appreciate his help as he is light years beyond 
 me at this stuff! 

Again,  I'm still learning & practicing and probably should have waited until I improved and used better equipment... 
but that may take a long while and I'd like to share this scene with you guys now  : )
