Drift Wood at Sunset - a photo on Flickriver

Mukilteo Beach, Mukilteo, WA. Being at Mukilteo Beach once more, couldn't help but to shoot my favorite subject in this area, drift wood. Along the same lines a "Mono Beach Wood", this time I captured drift wood late in the afternoon as the sun was setting using reversal film. The beautiful colors of the fading sun and the blue tones of the sky combine in a way that adds another dimension to the image when compared to the earlier B&W shot. Nikon F5, 24-70mm f/2.8G lens at 24mm, Fuji Velvia 100 reversal film developed in an Arista Rapid E-6 kit at 105F. Exposure was 1/20 sec at f/6.3.
