The Ambush

Lately I have been going back over old photoshoots and reliving the shoot, sometimes editing a photo that got overlooked, and sometimes re-editing photos where do not like how I did it the first time.

While I was doing this I was looking at a photo from a photographer, Lou O' Bedlam, I have followed for a number of years. For many of his photos he has a bit of a caption and today he was talking about examining how a photo made him feel. I think about that as well and also how a particular photo will carry meaning for me but may be just a nice snapshot for someone else. This photo from 10 years ago is one.In it I see the goofy, fun-loving, personality that Jurney still has today. I can remember the day as if it were yesterday. I do think her personality would come through to almost anyone seeing the photo, but they would not have the benefit of the memories. Now, maybe, hopefully, it helps someone recall a fun time with a friend. As I have pursued my photography I have become content with the fact that if a photo has meaning to me that is really what matters and if others get something from it, that is icing on the cake.
