The Hub - Disneyland (Explore) - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a Panorama shot from last January on a day Justin and I spent with Mike and DIane Greening. We were slowly making our way down Main Street after closing when I decided to try this pano that I had been thinking about for a while. 

Being a HDR image, this pano contains 5 composure's of 3 exposures each for a total of 15 exposures. I ran each set of brackets through photomatix twice (Once in Enhancer, and once in Exposure Fusion that I combined with each other) to make a grand total of 30 images used to create this final HDR panorama. Photomatix's Enhancer mode creates a hyper-realistic (though controlled by the user) HDR image, while Exposure Fusion creates a HDR more like traditional stacking and creates a more "realistic" image. I frequently combine the two techniques, using elements of each merged with each other in layers.  I created two panoramic images in Photoshop from each set of 5 HDRs created by Photopmatix ( 5 from Enhancer, 5 from Exposure Fusion) then combined the two panos with a layer mask, followed by further enhancement after the merge.

Back in January, when I first tried this, I had trouble with the final merge, and consistent processing of the final image so I put it on the back burner...Recently, I went back to it and found that it all went smoothly. Goes to show you that it is prudent to go back through your sets of old images that were once troublemakers...you might be surprised at your skills or the progression of software that might bring some of them back...

Interesting side note: Strollers are often spoilers in images like this. Someone always abandons one right in the middle of your shot. Fortunately, there are no strollers in this shot as Castmembers were busy stacking them on the corner to the right of this image. I had originally intended to do a 360 degree pano, but the pile of strollers was getting HUGE! The pile was easily comprised of 40 strollers and made it's own mark on the skyline of Disneyland. In hindsight, I should have photographed it...One good thing, there are NO strollers in my shot
