Der Jetzt Nicht Unbekannte Auto - a photo on Flickriver

Freedom is the best thing ever. For me at least, school is complete. All of my exams have been done at long last, and I have the whole summer to do what I want. The only problem is, summer is going to be going to be a whole month longer than normal. This means I need to find something to do to keep myself occupied. In other words, I need a job. But where I live, there is very little. Its a small sleep village on the Devon and Cornwall border. But I think my Dad might have just found me a small job. I know a few people that would like their car to be valeted. We have all of the appropriate items for this; Chamois Leather, Polish, Correct Soaps, Wax, etc. If I can do some valeting, then I can get outside in the sun a bit more and also earn a little bit of cash, which I will put towards getting a car. As I am now 16, I have less than a year to wait until I can start learning to drive. I'll probably get a car before then though, so that I can fix it up and get it ready for when I can actually drive. But a problem with getting this car is the insurance. So I've been thinking about getting a classic. Something with Classic insurance will be pretty cheap. If I get a 'black box' fitted, it would be even cheaper. Older cars tend to be less reliable, but if I look after it properly, then nothing should go wrong.

I should probably start talking about Germany now though, as it is kind of a special little series of German posts that I'm doing right now!

For once, I am unsure of exactly what the car in this photo is. I spotted it in Wiesbaden straight after the earlier 991 911 and Aston Lagonda. Okay, so now I know what it is. Its a Toyota Supra Mk3 and not a Venturi. Still a very nice car!

Next on my stories of my travels in Germany, I shall tell you about the marvellous land of Frankfurt. To be honest, I saw nothing to begin with. It was not before I had to wait for everyone to meet up outside a big old church (can't remember what its called at the moment!), that I saw a F430 Spider, 997 Turbo and CL63 AMG. Then we all went to the bus. But didn't move anywhere. Our bus had broken down. For everyone else this was just hell, but for me, I enjoyed it. We broke down on what has to be one of the best spotting roads in Frankfurt. Within an hour I saw a red GT-R, Ferrari California, Maserati GranTurismo S, Mercedes SLS AMG, Mclaren MP4-12C, more 997 Turbos and an E63 AMG Estate! When the best eventually started and made our way out of Frankfurt, I saw a Bentley Continental GT 2011, a tonne of M5 and C63s and a camouflaged car (which I don't know what it was as, well, it was under camo!). Overall it was a pretty good day of spotting!
