December Beauty in the Ditch - a photo on Flickriver

            I went out shooting, on 13 December.
I was determined to find something beautiful. (For wny, see below)
The ditch that carries the Immenbach down our Immenbacnstrasse did the job.  

Outdoors in December is the least attractive time of the year here. 
"Here" is the low-altitude, extreme northwest corner of Switzerland, 
along the Rhine. 
The autumn leaves are long gone, the days are solstice-short 
and what little snow we get here doesn't come until January and February. 

Thank goodness for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
