Ariel - a photo on Flickriver

Ariel

            Used a Nikkor micro 55mm with a Vivitar macro focusing doubler. I find the doubler allows in one device the ability to focus to infinity or act as an extension tube (with glass though) allowing me to take approx. 1:1 images.  Switching to portraiture pictures was still relatively sharp, but I can tell that the extra glass having some effect, good or bad is in the eye of the beholder.
