DISCLAIMER: Do not judge the lens or camera quality or capabilities by images shot with this simulation. The settings are done to intentionally mimic a fixed focus, plastic lens Kodak Instamatic X-15f. My intent is to capture a mood or feeling from my memories of shooting that camera as a child. The tonality, contrast, composition and lighting, etc. are more important than touting the merits of the X-Pro 2 or the Pergear lens.

I'm still working out the exposure details. I think I have the f/stop and hyperfocal settings squared away.

I've moved from the X-T1 to the X-Pro 2 for my Kodacolor II 126 project. I've got the math mostly figured out and had to change the lens up to a 25mm lens to approximate the 43mm lens of the Kodak Instamatic X-15f.

Long story short ... It's a Pergear 25mm f/1.8 lens shot somewhere around f/11. The lens is clickless, doesn't have f/11 engraved in the ring, and reviews on it suggest that the engraved markings are up to 1 stop darker than marked.

The focus settings are the same way. They're not quite right so some experimenting was necessary to find what reasonably seems to be the hyperfocal for the f/stop set.

Soon there will be a long write-up on the details of how I figured this all out, what the goal of the project is, etc.

Recipe is based on the Kodacolor II 126 recipe from fujixweekly.com.
