The beaches of Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica are some of the most lovely beaches in the world. People come from all over to swim and play on these beaches, relax, drink, hike, watch the animals, or even do a little parasailing.

Last March after I came down from 75ft in the air into the water, detached my own parachute, and headed back to shore, I settled into a lounge chair with frosty rum drink, pulled out my camera, and began to take pictures of the people around me. Many kids, couples, families, and various sorts passed back and forth. This girl in particular seemed so full of joy. She ran in and out of the water's edge, teasing the waves as they teased her back. I never saw if she finally gave in and went all the way, but the entire scene was a delight to watch.
