Hwange Depot - a photo on Flickriver

Hwange Depot

            On the face of it, all is well at the loco depot at Hwange Colliery with a couple of Garratts in steam. But one of them had failed, and the other was having the fire dropped prior to emergency repairs. 

And the only activity that the loco on the left will see is probably from the cutter's torch. However the overall picture does recreate a scene from the not so distant past.

A mono conversion to counter the blue smoke haze from a rubbish fire.
