Cherry Blossom time, Grangetown, Sunderland

            Taking advantage of the sunshine and less windier/drier conditions to visit Sunderland Cemetery, near where I live in Grangetown, North East England this afternoon.
Lots of people passing by and checking out the stunning colours provided by the short-lived display of cherry blossom.
Just looked at last year's images and found the display has peaked around a couple of weeks earlier (last year I captured the blossom at its peak at the beginning of May).
Grey skies, gale force winds, prolonged spells of rain – it hasn't been the most memorable spring season so far. However, today the wind has abated, it's been dry and the sun has been shining.
That sunshine certainly helps the the colours to fizz!
