View from the market - a photo on Flickriver

A view toward the financial district of Toronto, west along Front Street from the St. Lawrence Market area, near Jarvis.

This really pushes the limits of both the current p&s camera and my processing skills. This is a blend of 8 shots at F/8.0 ranging from 15 sec at ISO200/100/80 down to 2.5sec at ISO80. I wouldn't normally blend more than 3 or 4 shots just for increased dynamic range. But this is a busy and challenging scene at street level, with plenty of movement, so I took the best of several exposures for cars, light-trails and the sidewalk scene (a few people even stayed fairly still for 15 seconds at a time). Layers were hand-blended in the GIMP, with one obvious intruder from another photo. It is *much* work to do it this way, and I wonder what Photomatix (or similar) would make of a scene like this.
