Gatklettur || Djúpalónssandur beach

            Djúpalónssandur beach (Black Lava Pearl Beach) was an amazing location in that there was so much to see and shoot there. From shipwrecks to fresh water lagoons to trolls and elvish churches to dramatic black pebble beaches. 
To get there is a 10 minute walk from the car park along the Nautastígur path - the Path of the Bull - through a lava field with huge lava formations. The name derives from bull being led down this path and watered by the lagoon behind.
There is a peculiar rock called Gatklettur where you can see through to Snæfellsjökull glacier... if the weather was clear
