Milkyway Bow at Lake Clifton - a photo on Flickriver

            Walkway to the Thrombolites at Lake Clifton in Western Australia.  I took this image at the end of the evening when the Milky Way had sunk far enough into the western skies to be able to capture a single row with my 14mm. 

What are thrombolites ya ask :)

Thrombolites are clotted accretionary structures formed in shallow water by the trapping, binding, and cementation of sedimentary grains by biofilms of microorganisms, especially cyanobacteria.

I captured 7 images to complete this row with 30 degree increments. Each image is a stack of 20 light exposures shot at ISO12800, 10sec, f/2.8, stacked with dark calibration frames.
