Enola Yard, March 7, 1999

            Locomotives idle the afternoon away at the motor pit in Conrail's Enola Yard. SD80MACs 4113 & 4121 can be identified through the brush. Conrail had less then thre months left here as the impending CSX-Norfolk Southern split merger would occur on June 1, 1999. Enola would become just another yard in Norfolk Southern's system.
4113 became CSXT 806 then 4596 while the 4121 became CSXT 808 then 4598. CSX later sold their 80MACs to NS with the 4113 becoming NS 7222 and the 4121 becoming NS 7224. They have since been sold and scrapped.
