Sun At 1,000mm with Solar Filter - a photo on Flickriver

            I pumped up the contrast and raised shadows to the max, wondering if I could see the sun's corona. I saw this and thought, "Yes, that's it" but then the next image taken seconds later had a totally different shape to the "corona".

Does anyone have an idea what this is?
