Honoring Early American Settlers - a photo on Flickriver

            In the distant past (some might say in the prehistoric era), there was a relatively easy way to commute from northeastern Russia to Alaska.  Or so some say.  However they got to North America, there were lots of people in residence when the Europeans arrived.  They were initially called Indians because the Europeans were trying to find an alternate route to India.  That was incorrect, and people have been struggling to find a proper name for those early settlers ever since.  They deserve respect and better treatment.  This statue on Disneyland's Main Street is tasteful, regardless of whether or not it is accurate.
