Gespensterwald - a photo on Flickriver

Gespensterwald

            This image shows a view in the "Gespensterwald" (something like "Forest Of Ghosts") - the so called forest at Nienhagen. It's one of my favourite places at the Baltic Sea. It's a forest with lots of trees and nearly no undergrowth. I hoped to sea a misty morning there - and once in that week I was lucky to experience such a mood at this place! It's fascinating to enjoy wide views in a forest, to look from one trunk to another without any disturbing bushes. And I love the contrast from the trunks to the leaves on the ground.

Ich konnte mich an den Stämmen gar nicht sattsehen, genoss den weiten Blick durch den Wald ohne störendes Unterholz und die Tiefe, die die Nebelschwaden mir boten. Der Kontrast zu dem ganzen herbstlichen Laub auf dem Boden war dann das Tüpfelchen auf dem i.
