scrolled-tab-carousel-nav-apple - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a novel approach to a carousel that combines it with a scrollbar (as the carousel "page controller"). 

It is a good example of bridging the new with the familiar. Sometimes carousels are harder for people to find the arrows (depending on how they are rendered). But a scrollbar is universal.

This also blends the concept of a tabbed notebook into a carousel as well.

Of course it would inappropriate to use this if you had multiple carousels on the page.
