            Bagan was the ancient capital of Burma.  Burma is now Myanmar.  On 12/29/2014 we were in a taxi going from old Bagan to New Bagan.  Suddenly traffic stopped. Something was blocking us.  We found it was a local village parade being staged on the main street.  We paid the driver and got out.  The parade consisted of about 15 carts pulled by either one horse or two Brahmin cows.  In each cart was one little princess.  Each princess was between the age of 5 and 10.  It was a beautiful local pageant, but strange to see little girls in such make up, lipstick and fine clothes.  Their mothers or fathers would come up to me and say: take a picture of that one, she's my daughter!
