My Childhood Cottage - 201406021

            Here is an image of "my cottage" from my memories as a kid on Long Lake near Bala in Muskoka (although the photo itself was taken just before I was born I think). Actually, it was my grandparent's cottage but it was the place we'd go to every summer for weeks and weeks in July and August. This small cottage is forever etched in my memory and feels to me as if it must still physically exist. However, in reality, it was replaced many years ago with a more modern, larger structure by its new owner immediately after it was sold by my grandfather (in his last few years and just before I graduated from University). Ever since then I've felt an aching loss.
