Les vieux monuments funéraires sont souvent d'une extrême beauté. C'est vrai qu'il faut aimer se promener dans un cimetière, lieu de douleur et de tristesse. Les fers forgés rouillés, la mousse qui recouvre les pierres, les épitaphes presque effacées, ou encore les fleurs séchées et herbes folles qui envahissent certaines tombes, donnent un certain cachet à ces lieux de recueillement.
Il m'arrive de parcourir les allées et partir ainsi à la recherche d'un détail, d'un brin d'histoire au travers d'un disparu. Généralement, ce sont les formes et ornementations du monument, qui m'attirent. Puis les dates et parfois les noms de famille.
Au final, celles qui finissent toujours par attirer mon attention sont celles qui ont été oubliées ou qui, visiblement très anciennes, restent modestement entretenues, une fleur de-ci-de-là...
