Glacier National Park - a photo on Flickriver

Just wrapped up a truly amazing weekend of photography at Glacier National Park in Montana with great friends. I had never been to this part of the United States before and it sure didn't disappoint. Each location of the park we experienced seemed to be more amazing than the one before it. It is truly one of those places that is nearly impossible to describe in words, and photographs do not do justice to the amazing scale of it.

I encourage everyone to watch the streams of the other photographers on the trip: Tom Bricker, William McIntosh, Todd Hurley and Jeff Krause in the coming weeks for a wide range of perspectives on this amazing place.

This was a location on all of our lists and an easy hike from the trail head. This reflection on Fishercap Lake is one of the key reasons you go there but we got an extra bonus. If you look off to the right of the water you'll see a bunch of people along the shore. They were all photographers taking shots of a moose having breakfast in the water and her calf on the shore watching. While we were there a bull moose was also in the woods to the left side of this frame but he didn't show himself much. We also saw a deer and 2 fawns come out of the woods for a drink and the two little ones where playing around along the shore just like little kids do when near water. Truly an astonishing experience!
