Sunset over Mt Hood - a photo on Flickriver

            Due to the weather conditions on the Columbia River gorge trip this spring, we didn't get many chances at sunrise or sunset. On our second night we took a chance and made the drive down to Trillium lake on the south side of Mount Hood. As we arrived the conditions were looking bleak; so bleak in fact that we just sort of parked and walked over to the lake, only to see the clouds just beginning to open up over the mountain. Needless to say we went back to the car and grabbed our gear and watched the light keep changing.
