Orchids (20080625-122500-PJG)

I was asked over to an old family friend's house today. He suggested that I bring my camera gear as their garden was starting to bloom with flowers.

After we went into the house, he points out his orchid, which was just irresistible for me to photograph. Given that I had the time and gear, this is done in natural window light, and was a tripod-mounted shot.
