Got to Fly (20110831-110430-PJG)

This is my very first Hawk in flight capture. I hope that over time, I will see them more, and get better ones, but I will take this one for now. Thank you to undertheturnpike for identifying it as a Northern Harrier. I thought it might have been a Red-Tailed Hawk.

The main reason for me putting up this shot is to notify my viewership that I will be away in Toronto, Ontario from 7 September to 16 September 2011 inclusive. In other words, I have to fly! I probably will not be on Flickr very much during this period.

My daughter and her husband, just had a son on Friday, 2 September. He is my first Grandchild! By our religious custom, my GrandSon will have his Brit on Friday, 9 September, and I have to be there.

This will be the very first time that I have flown in the last eight years, when my back started acting up. I used to love flying, but now I am worried about the landing, as that can damage my back if the impact is too hard.
