Out on the Marsh (KG-DSC01546) - a photo on Flickriver

For the last couple of months, I've tried to get to Halifax for a long weekend, and something has always come up to prevent the trip. This weekend was another one of those failed attempts.

On the positive side, my good friend, cage_ee and I decided to meet in between our two cities to spend several hours shooting and catching up with each other.

As he had never been out to the marshes, outside of Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, we decided to spend the morning there. The eagles and hawks were active, and like usual way out there. However, we stopped at a cattle pollack where we were hoping to get a bit of shelter from the cold, and from being so visible in the open fields. It is there that cage_ee got this shot of me.

The Sigma 50-500mm is fully extended in front of the D300 with the grip in case anyone was wondering about the gear. :)
