Agfa Selectaflex (model I) - a photo on Flickriver

            An impulse purchase from the USA. I'm always interested in early SLR cameras and this one from Agfa looked pretty good on ebay.
 
The Selectaflex is a 35mm leaf shutter SLR camera with automatic exposure control (it has a prontor reflex-p automatic shutter), interchangeable bayonet mount lens and a pentaprism. The exposure meter uses a large selenium cell that is very visible on the front of the camera.
 
The Agfa corporation introduced the Selectaflex in 1963 and it was produced until 1969. There were two different models produced during this period.
 
The Selectaflex (model I) came standard with a 4-element anastigmat 50mm Color-Solinar f/2.8 lens and can be identified by the smaller name reference on the selenium cell. Also, the model I didn’t have strap lugs on the body.
 
The Selectaflex (model II) was standard fitted with a 6-element 55mm Color-Solagon f/2.0 lens, a very high quality lens made by Agfa. This lens is nowadays fairly difficult to find. The model II has the name ‘Selectaflex’ larger on the front of the camera and is equipped with strap lugs.

Color-Telinear f/4.0 135mm
Color-Telinear f/4.5 180mm (very rare)
 
The lenses for the Selectaflex and Ambiflex are partly exchangeable.
