Valkenburg aan de Geul : ‘A Mecca for photographers’

Valkenburg aan de Geul is located in the hilly region in the south of the Dutch province of Limburg. The walking city of the Netherlands is part of the municipality of Valkenburg and has been a tourist attraction for many years. The city's historic medieval center is a photography paradise and captures everyone's imagination. In Valkenburg you have impressive caves, beautiful castle ruins and there is the famous cycling hill the Cauberg. The entire city is surrounded by bronze-green nature and marl rock walls. In addition, you can also enjoy panoramic views. Moreover, there is always something to do and all kinds of events are organized. It is also a city with many cozy cafes and bars where young and old will never be bored. The locoation on my photo is an often photographed part of the city from a footbridge that shows the beauty of the River Geul.

Nederlands

Valkenburg aan de Geul is gelegen in de streek heuvelland in het zuiden van de Nederlandse provincie limburg. De wandelstad van Nederland is onderdeel van de gemeente Valkenburg en is al jarenlang een toeristische trekpleister. Het historische middeleewse centrum van de stad is een paradijs voor fotografie en spreekt tot ieders verbeelding. Daar komt bij dat je er indrukwekkende grotten hebt, een prachtige kasteel ruïne en de beroemde wielrenheuvel de Cauberg. De hele stad is ook nog eens omringd met brons-groene natuur en mergelrotswanden. Daar komt bij dat je er ook kan genieten van vergezichten. Bovendien is er altijd wat te doen en worden er allerlei evenementen georganiseerd. Het is ook een stad met veel gezellige cafés en bars waar jong en oud zich nooit hoeven te vervelen. Deze foto is een vaak gefotografeerd stukje  van de stad vanaf een loopbrug waar de schoonheid van de rivier de Geul goed te zien is.
