More Leonid Meteor

***Not a new capture, but a new crop and processing of a previously uploaded capture***

This is a processed crop of the outrageously lucky shot I took and posted a few months ago.

That shot was explored then and later showed up in a "best of 2009" Flickr blog entry. To me, a lot of its beauty lie in it not being cropped or processed in any way; the spectacular fireball flew right into the tiny 50mm frame (X 1.6 crop sensor = ~75mm) showing rare detail of the train, afterglow, and a particle racing ahead. So I left all the ugly brown light pollution alone.

But I've always wanted to clean up the light pollution. Only the camera sees the brown, not the camera-less human eye. Here is my best effort to show how the meteor looked in person that night.
