Isla de Tenerife - Garachico - a photo on Flickriver

            Localidad situada a 13 msnm en el noroeste de la isla de Tenerife. Se trata de un pueblo que invita a perderse por sus pintorescas calles que custodian las arquitecturas más preciadas del archipiélago durante los siglos XVI y XVII, como los balcones y fachadas típicas de Canarias. Por ello, fue declarado en el año 1994 Bien de Interés Cultural. El municipio goza de un amplio patrimonio histórico – artístico, donde destacan, 

-El Muelle Viejo.
-La Plaza de la Libertad.
-La Fortaleza de San Miguel.
-La Parroquia Matriz de Santa Ana (Museo Sacro)
-Pasear por sus calles disfrutando de la arquitectura y los colores de las casas.
-Monumento natural del Roque de Garachico.

También cuenta con una rica gastronomía, y zonas de baño dentro de un entorno volcánico. A finales del siglo XVII era una ciudad importante, lamentablemente la erupción de un volcán la dejo prácticamente destruida. En la actualidad es una ciudad viva y alegre, pese al temporal de hace unos años que la azotó fuertemente.
