974 – Detalle Portada - Iglesia Ntra Sra Asunción – Villasayas (Soria) – Spain.-

            La iglesia románica de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción en Villasayas, Soria (Spain), a unos 15 kilómetros de Almazán (Soria) fue iniciada en el siglo XII.  
Tiene una galería porticada con ocho arcos y una puerta central que da acceso al interior del atrio con dobles columnas y capiteles labrados.
La arquivolta de la puerta de entrada a la iglesia muestra una escena en la que un hombre con un mazo cabalga sobre un grifo o león, al lado un águila colocándose las plumas de su cola.

The Romanesque church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Villasayas, Soria (Spain), about 15 kilometers from Almazán (Soria) was started in the 12th century.
It has a porticoed gallery with eight arches and a central door that gives access to the interior of the atrium with double columns and carved capitals.
The archivolt of the entrance door to the church shows a scene in which a man with a mallet he rides on a griffin or lion, next to it an eagle putting on its tail feathers.
