162 - Detalle Apostolado - Iglesia San Juan - Alba de Tormes - Salamanca - Spain.

            Quién vaya al pueblo de Alba de Tormes (Salamanca) - Spain, posiblemente vaya buscando el rastro de Santa Teresa de Jesús y sus reliquias, caso que se le ocurra visitar la iglesia de San Juan, se quedará atónito con el denominado Apostolado en piedra policromada románico-bizantino en torno al año 1200.
Las figuras tienen rasgos muy arcaicos, se componen de trece figuras que ahora están en el altar, pero presumiblemente formarían parte de una gran portada perdida, pues su talla trasera no se realizó, pudiendo ser así adosadas al muro.
Este magnífico Apostolado ha estado en varias Exposiciones de las Edades del Hombre.

Who go to the town of Alba of Tormes (Salamanca) - Spain, possibly the are looking for the trace of Santa Teresa of Jesus and her relics, and in case as he decides to visit the church of San Juan they will be amazed with the named Apostolado in polychrome stone, byzantine-romanesque art about the year 1200.
The figures have archaic features and they are thirteen shapes, they are in the high altar now,  and belonged to one lost facade in the past. The back sculpture did not to make, that is why could be attach to the wall.
This wonderful Apostolado had been showed in several Exhibition named "Edades del Hombre",
