Tremezzo - Lake Como - Bisbino Cafe - a photo on Flickriver

            On the private boat from outside our hotel in Cadenabbia towards Villa del Balbianello.

On the right in Tremezzo is Villa Carlotta.

Straight ahead is the Bisbino Cafe.

The steamer "Bisbino" was built in 1907 by the Swiss company Escher & Wyss, for the shipping company Lariana.

In 1956 the "Bisbino" became motorised. It sailed for 75 years until 1982. In 1991 she was sold to private investors. They began a long and challenging transformation, completed only in 1997.

In the same year "Bisbino" came back home to her lake and was opened to the public from her mooring in Tremezzo.

It is still there today. She was sold again in 2013 to the current owners. Who carried out further restructuring to make it suitable for various uses.
