Testosterone at Work - a photo on Flickriver

            I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me over the last few years. I'm in the right place at the right time to see something that I've never seen before and someone out walking their kid sees me with my camera and comes running up to see what I'm watching. This time, it was a guy with his three year old and the child was either amped up on sugar, severely hyperactive, or addicted to crystal meth. Whatever the issue, the guy and his immediately spooked these two off almost instantly.

Instead of apologizing for f**king up my time with these birds, the guy starts quizzing me on what species they were. When I told him tersely that they were norther flickers he then asked me what they ate (he didn't pick up on my veiled hostility) and wondered if it they should bring bread with 'em next time. I told him that bread wouldn't work because they live primarily on bugs and the eyeballs of three year olds with dip-shit parents. He managed to understand that little hint, called me rude, and then left. And I thought I was being sarcastic.
