Rainbow Without Rain - a photo on Flickriver

The evening I saw this rainbow was sure an unusual day!

First a fire broke out in a nearby condo building , then a rainbow appeared for less than 5 minutes a few hours later.

This was actually the second time I saw a full rainbow (both times in the late afternoon) without seeing a drop of rain on the ground on Clear Lake.

Was it possible to have a rainbow without rain?

According to the meteorologist, a rainbow was formed when the sun went through some form of water, even if that water never reached the ground.

The only good POV I could get was with this reviving palm tree, it must be a good omen!
