2023-01-28 TEC-0409 Cynometra axillary inflorescence with senescent flower(s) - E.P. Mallory

            The branch was damaged during Hurricane Lisa (2 Nov 2022). It was hanging but still attached at 10-m. It was the only branch I found with flowers (20 Jan 2023), but the flowers were already senescent (see other photos in album). The water in the creek dropped quickly with first hot days of the dry season before the branch could be collected on 26 Jan 2023.  When the branch was retrieved most flowers were gone, the leaves appeared dessicated, and the development of the remaining buds appeared arrested. Stigma hairy or mold filaments?
